BIMI Record Checker

Check if a domain has BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) configured. Verify the logo URL and Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) status.

What is BIMI?

Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI) is an email standard that lets organisations display their brand logo next to authenticated emails in supporting inboxes like Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and Apple Mail.

How BIMI Works

BIMI builds on top of DMARC authentication. When a receiving mail server verifies that an email passes DMARC checks with an enforcement policy (quarantine or reject), it looks up the sender's BIMI DNS record to find the brand's logo.

The BIMI record is a TXT record published at default._bimi.yourdomain.com. It contains two key fields: l= (logo URL) and a= (authority certificate URL).

The logo must be in SVG Tiny PS (Portable/Secure) format. For Gmail, a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) from a trusted certificate authority like DigiCert or Entrust is also required.

Why BIMI Matters

Increases brand visibility with logo display in email clients

Boosts email open rates by up to 10% with recognisable branding

Builds recipient trust by proving email authenticity

Requires DMARC enforcement, improving overall email security
